Key decisions
Rebuild the front end in Next.js and TypeScript
I migrated the JavaScript React app to Next.js with TypeScript and full Arabic RTL support, with Redux Toolkit for state and Jest for unit tests.
Replace Firebase with a dedicated back end
A NestJS service exposes REST and GraphQL APIs over a new data model on Prisma and PostgreSQL, plus DynamoDB and S3.
Integrate government and identity services
Vehicle lookup and number identification from government services, plus KYC identity verification.
Outcome
A delivery and logistics app for truck drivers, with routing and scheduling, running on a TypeScript front end and a dedicated NestJS back end.
